Common PCS etiologies (PCA/BA/VA): • Cardioembolic: AF/LAA clot • Artery→artery: VA/BA/PCA atherosclerosis • Dissection (VA) ± neck trauma/manip • Small-vessel: thalamic/perforators • Hypoperfusion: vertebrobasilar stenosis RF: smoking HLD HTN DM.
